Lynda Sturdevant’s Books

The Adventures of Superfeet is an inspiring allegory of a spirited young girl named Lacy who embarks on a journey of faith with her newfound friend, Soul.

When Lacy’s grandpa leaves her his most valued possession, “The Awesome Book”, she is drawn to search for the treasure within. As she delves into the pages of the book, her destiny is unveiled and it is much greater than she could have ever imagined.

Through the help of the Holy Spirit, Lacy discovers the secret of the book’s mysteries and is equipped to become her ultimate self, “Superfeet”.

Excerpts:

1. Lacy lifted her hands and embraced the Lord; leaving behind the magenta and violet mountain peaks, she flew swiftly upon the Spirit’s wind to where she heard the cry. Standing in a back yard, with hands over her eyes, was a woman weeping and praying. She was unaware of Lacy descending a few feet in front of her.

“Can I do something to help?” questioned Lacy. The woman, looking up, was startled to see Lacy there. Knowing there was no one there a few seconds ago, she thought she was seeing an angel. “Are you an angel?” asked the woman.

2. As they traveled, Lacy only looked up from The Awesome Book when someone pointed out something interesting along the way. She read all about Jesus’s miraculous birth, his baptism, and how he had the power to heal, to cast out evil spirits and even raise the dead. She saw how Jesus loved and healed people, even those that nobody else cared about. Jesus is a miracle, she thought to herself. He is the Son of God in a man’s body. Lacy closed her eyes and embraced the warmth of Holy Spirit as she thought about her wonderful Jesus, and how he loved everyone so much. She was so peaceful with God all around her. She felt that everyone in the car must feel Him because He was there with her, in her, surrounding her and filling her with love.

3. “I believe in Jesus. I believe!” Jim sobbed as he fell on his knees. At that moment he was filled with the Holy Spirit and was set free from his sins and torment. When he stood up, his face was beaming with light, and he lifted his arms to heaven and shouted,

“Thank you Lord, what a great day!”
“Wow,” said Soul. “Now you’re a Christian too!”
“I know God sent you kids here today for me,” said Jim.
Smiling, he added, “And for Jenny too.”
“I didn’t know we were being sent by God,” said Soul.

“Sturdevant’s charming book takes its young readers on a daring mis-adventure with three fun-loving little froggies.”
